WWE Superstars Showcase

I am tired and since it’s a holiday, forgive me for bitching more than usual tonight. Now without further ado, let’s get to it.

I am not at all enthused about watching Santino job to Miz. The parasites in the crowd are wasting their breath cheering for Santino when they know he has no chance in hell at winning this match. Santino of course, has the upper hand right now.

“Sometimes it’s hard for the other WWE Superstars to take him (Santino) seriously.” ~King

Um…and give me one good reason why Santino should be taken seriously?

Winner: The Miz via Pinfall

Match Rating: ** stars.

Short matches are just one of several reasons why I cannot take Santino seriously.

Ask the Divas segment. I’d rather not.

Commercial break!

The next match is brought to us from the ECW side of things. Kozlov with Regal will be taking on Goldust. We are reminded that the Roundtable are experiencing some issues since this past week’s ECW. Meanwhile, Goldust has Kozlov outside the ring owning him as we go to yet another…

Commercial break!

We’re back and Goldust still has the upper hand working Kozlov in the corner. Regal is outside the ring seemingly cheering his fellow Roundtable member on. Kozlov is now nailing Goldust with a series of head butts. Damn. What a hard head! The Russian is now on the offense, slamming Goldust onto the mat. Oh well gee…

Winner: Koszlov via Pinfall

Match Rating: ** ½ stars. I was kind of entertained, mostly due to the commentary and Kozlov’s creepy grin.

Commercial break!

They are plugging the Jeff Hardy DVD and you know what? I’ll buy it if only to add it to my collection of WWE DVDs. I might watch it one night when Raw sucks, but I doubt the DVD can do much of anything but make me wonder why the hell Matt wouldn’t just fight harder for the spotlight. Moving on…

A special John Cena package plays. Wow. Go Cena. And it’s so *bleeping* cheesy! Read for yourself.

“I stand before you as champ because I have never given up.”

Really?

“I stand before you as champ because I have earned it.”

Never doubted you once Cena.

“This my life.”

I’m sure it is.

“This is my passion.”

That too.

“This is all I got.”

What about your music career?

“I stand before a nation that goes to battle with me…”

Every damn day.

Give me a *bleeping* break!

Raw rebound plays. Sheamus rules for that kick to Cena’s head. Down with his nation!

The main event for tonight is from the Smackdown side of things. R-Truth will face Dolph Ziggler after this annoying…

Commercial break! <— *shakes head*

We’re back. The two tie up in the ring and it takes a while before someone actually wins a take down. This is probably going to be a fast paced match so I’m going to reserve my comments until the end of the match.

Commercial break!

Winner: R-Truth

Match Rating: *** ½ stars.

This match was back and forth the whole time. Dolph talked a lot of smack during the match after Truth hit him REALLY hard in the face. Truth got the win with his “Lie Detector” crushing whatever momentum Ziggler had despite the excellent ring work.

***Quick Hits***

1) Miz d. Santino

2) Kozlov d. Goldust

3) R-Truth d. Dolph Ziggler

  1. Santino was entertaining throughout his match. I can’t be mad when I watch him on TV.

  2. Ah, the good ol’ days (referring to Shawn and X-Pac)

  3. What has Ziggler done that he’s being pushed so far down? The man was the talk of the town three months ago, and he was destined to be a future world champ. Now he seems to be headed down the path of being future endeavored instead.

    • You know why he’s being pushed down so far? Because a certain Calvin and Hobbes look-a-like from that other website endorsed Ziggler months back and wouldn’t shup up when trying to say that he was always behind Ziggy.

    • Kevin Canny

Apparently, the WWE creative team has given up on pushing him and Jack Swagger. The WWE has given Ziggler 26 different Intercontinental title matches since he has came to Smackdown (both televised and non televised) and he has only won two of the twenty six matches(winning both by countout). Rey Mysterio refused to drop the title to him back in July and he hasn’t got the title since then so WWE creative is giving up on him.

      It’s such a shame.
