About TWD
In winter of 2008, three guys met on a soon-to-be defunct open source sports blogging website.
After a few months of messing around and getting used to each other’s barbs, they noticed a problem: Wrestling wasn’t getting the attention or respect it deserved—not just on that particular site but on the Internet as a whole.
After a whole lot of emails, instant message conversations, and teleconferences, TWD launched during the summer of 2009 with a few key ideas in mind:
Wrestling and legitimate journalism can coexist; writing about wrestling can be more than a list; there really are talented and intelligent wrestling fans out there; an alternative wrestling media can thrive on the Internet beyond short ring reports and Twitter-like live PPV updates.
With that in mind, TWD was created, and writers were recruited from all over the Internet to come together in a focused and professional setting to collectively raise the bar of wrestling journalism.
The revolution…will be published.
